Just Win Baby - The Legacy of AL DAVIS

 

My guys came alive to honor AL DAVIS with a 25 - 20 win over the Texans on Sunday.  My favorite owner of all time, even though he moved my team out of Oakland, he's the ONLY owner to bring a team back to its original city.  In addition, AL was a champion for diversity, hiring the First Black & Hispanic NFL head coaches + the First and only female CEO of an NFL franchise.

Sure you know Dubois, Garvey, Hughes, Hurston...But Claude McKay, Jean Toomer, Charlotte Mason...not so much.  In context, who are the torchbearer's of urban renaissance today?  Where are we?  Who are we?  What innovations are we introducing to our communities and the world at large? More questions than answers...
